New Purchase Montana 3400RL
As of last Saturday we just purchased a new 3400RL loaded with all the bells and frills. The Dealer is completing the PDI plus other defects that we identified. We pick his unit up on May 2nd which is our 39th wedding anniversary,Wow!! Will be pulling the rig with a new 09 F350 crew Dually 4X4 6.4 Diesel long box and 3.73 gears. Running the 18000# B & W goose/fifth wheel hitch which is convertible. Have camped and travelled a lot in the past with everthing from a tent to a Class A Motor Home. Will do some weekend camping this summer to get the bugs out and then take 2 to 3 months of the winter in the south country away from the snow.

Congratulations Ellis!
That is a VERY popular model of Monte so this is the place to be for stories and advice. Also, I hope your new F-350 has the Integrated Brake controller (I believe it is provided by Prodigy for Ford so it's a great controller). That option has been excellent for towing and being integrated makes for a clean look.
Welcome to Snowbirding. I live in Southern California and we run into hundreds of snowbirds that have headed south for the Winter. The campgrounds are packed with 'em from December to March! We are Sunbirds. During the summer we head north as much as possible. Right now we are having a hot spell, it's 93 degrees Fahrenheit at 10:30 am! But it's a "dry heat"... LOL
Have FUN!

We absolutely "LOVE" our 3400 and may even die in it. DW doesn't even want to look at other models as she says this is the one and only. Whew! Am I lucky or what? Anyway, Enjoy that new rig and many happy camping days, hope to see you on the road some day. You have also found "THE BEST DARNED FORUM ON THE WWW!!!!" There is nothing you can't find out about your Montana, or TV for that matter, on this forum. You just have to ask.......

Congrats on your new Monty. I know you will enjoy it! We love our 3400RL which we purchased last summer...a floor plan that we know will serve us well as we transition to fulltimers this year (as soon as our house sells) Hope we see you down the road. We're planning to head to Florida next winter.
