Rally Cost
It has been my intention to keep the Rally Registration at ZERO cost to members. Just a simple rally.
In order to do this I feel we will have to operate with the BYO ( bring your own) concept. I would like to hear what the attendees think.
Bring your own: - Drinks,
plates
silverware
napkins
etc
So, please give me feed back. It can change. Remember this is YOUR rally I just found the location.

John... just a comment from a West Coast Rally organizer. I do the same thing. Everyone brings their own. Makes it real easy and simple.
HINT: If people bring their own disposable plates, they can write their name on the underside of the plate and leave it turned over where they want to sit thereby "reserving" their place at the table while they go mingle before dinner is served. A Chinet style platter is a great one to use.
Have a great rally!

We're fine with BYOEverything. Since this will be our first rally, we are amenable to whatever the group decides.

John - I assisted with the campfire at the '08 rally in Gettysburg. I could do that again this year. My thought - what about the firewood for the group???

Fire wood is already provided. Thanks for asking. Does that mean I can put you down and "fire [s]bug[/s] coordinator"?

Yes - I guess so. I may need some assistance in being sure the fire is doused each night. Don't know if I will be able to keep up with the night hawks every night.

How about, the first night, everyone gets a lesson in proper dousing of the fire. Then, whomever lasts the longest each night gets the honor.

Now I like that idea, Jim. It kinda works backwards from my role as a volunteer fire fighter - I get to start the fire and someone else puts it out!!!
