Location selected for 2008 NorthEast Rally
I am please to officially anounce Gettysburg, PA is the location for next years rally. The dates of the rally are Thursday, 5/29 to Monday, 6/2, 2008. This is the weekend after Memorial Day. Rick and I have toured all of the local campgrounds and have chosen Gettysburg Campground as the perfect location. The campground has everything we are looking for and the owners are very excited about having us in. We have also visited the local Montana dealer who will be bringing units to the rally as well. Please DO NOT make your reservations yet, I am expecting the contract this week, and once I have it signed, we can begin making reservations. I know everyone is anxious to know where we will be having it, so I thought it would be ok to at least share this much right now. The prices are being negotiated, but we will receive a discount and you will be pleased to know the price will be comparable to this year's campground. Please contact me with any questions, but please wait until I get the paperwork signed, sealed and delivered before contacting the campground directly. It should only be another week or so. If you know you are going to attend, please send me a note and I will start the guest list. Thanks so much for your patience...we are planning a fantastic rally that will surely please just about everyone! Best regards, Jeana Matthews

Rick, Let me be the first to say "Job well done" and your choice of Gettysburg should be well received by all. As we don't normally make any commitments until we have a better window to our travels for next summer I will be unable to make any reservations until sometime after the beginning of the year but you can bet we will do our best to attend the NE Rally 2008.

Rick,
Glad to see it's moved back to Gettysburg, PA. You can defently count on Samuel and I being there if nothing drastic comes up before now and then. We have been there, but Samuel has talked about going back. Good job.

Wonderful location and WONDERFUL campground! We stayed there for 2 weeks last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners have only owned the place for about 2 years; they are great and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. They offered fresh baked pies and pastries, fresh vegetables, etc., for sale; had a karaoke and dance night; had a re-enactment; have a TON of info on the G'burg area and all the things to see and do.
Be sure to look up a teeny little restaurant in downtown G'burg called Texas Ernie's. They make the BEST grilled hot dogs!
Well done, all. Hope to make this one.

Great choice on the campground. We stayed there last year and couldn't have been happier. For those of you that care (and it may be ALL of us on the MOC), the wi-fi signal is strong and clear. Hope to be joining you.

John & Judy Michaels here!! We just purchased our Montana last fall and have never attended a rally. We have both recently retired and are planning to make this our first rally. How do you register for one of these gatherings?

John and Judy, You register just the way you did by saying you are coming. As the time gets near you will see things start picking up like a list of those attending. Activities that will take place Etc. Just keep watching the post under Northeast Rally. Look forward to seeing the 2 of you there.

Hi Rick,
Wondering if there's a list of attendees for this Rally. If so please add us to that list. We went by the campground to check it out. We think it looks great. Good choice. This will be our firet rally. Can't wait to meet everyone. Thanks. Tom & Sandy

This may be premature, but Bingo, Cathy and DD's are interested in attending if we can work out the school and work schedule. Has this been finalized and if so, will the reservation information be posted soon. We have never been to a rally like others and have no idea on how to proceed with reservations. Are there a block of sites that we need to request or will the campground know this??
Bingo

Bob & Myrna are doing the East coast next summer and are very interested in being at Gettysburg. The NE rally would be ideal. Count us in.
