Count us in as a definite, it is on the calendar. BTW, so there is no confusion, we are from the Charleston (WV capital) area. Charlestown (Charles Town) is in the eastern panhandle.

Bingo and Cathy,
Do you have a 2008 calandar? I do, but it's the back of my checkbook regristar and don't show when Labor Day is for 2008. We need to list the weekend after Labor Day weekend.

Labor Day 2008 is on September 1. I assume the rally will be September 5th through the 7th.

vabluebird,
my favorite calendar site is http://www.holidaysmart.com/2008/year2008.htm
where you can build your own. It shows all holidays, and you can print it out for keeping at your computer desk.
Hope this helps.

We've stayed at Walnut Hills and it is very nice and sits on a lake. Campsites vary from lake side to hillside overlooking the lake.
There's also a KOA in Verona,VA that sits alongside a nice trout stream. Very clean and immaculate.
Looking forward to it

vabluebird,
Put us down as interested also. The kids go back to school right after Labor Day so we will have to play it by ear. We are going to Walnut Hills next month.

By the way, Where in Virginia is Penhook. I think I've been through it but can't seem to recall where. I'm thinking it's in the Tidewater, Gloucester, Yorktown area.

Sam and Sally
Please remove our names from the list of attendees for the 2008 Virginia Rally. we have ordered a new 2008 Georgetown Montorhome and will take delivery of it in August sometime. The Montana has been good, but it has to go. We have enjoyed meeting everyone at the rallys and will miss them. Up untill we turn it in, were heading for Myrtle Beach the 28th of july for a rested vacation with it. Have a great time at the rally. Walnut hills is a great campground. Ken and Velda

Ken and Velda,
From what I've learned, no one has to give up the forum or the rally's just because they change units. Would love for you to attend anyway. Hope you decide
to come . That's what the S.O.B. thread is all about on the MOC.

Garnett & Dolores,
Penhook is on RT. 40 between Rocky Mount and Gretna. If you came south on RT 220, from Roanoke, you'd come to Rocky Mount exit, take RT 40 east to Gretna and go 15 miles. We're on what they call South Lake area of Smith Mtn. Lake.

Had the urge to bump this up to active topic since it seems rallying is on a lot of members minds. Plan ahead, let Vabluebird know you are interested and we will see you in Staunton, Va. next year!!

Just to let you all know this Ralley is still in the works. I believe we will try to set the date for Thursday the 4th thru Sunday the 7th. We will arrive on Thursday and leave after Breakfast on Sunday. Bingo and Cathy have already offered to help and I hope as the date gets
closer, others will as well.
We will be going to Walnut Hills in Staunton, VA. If interested in attending let me know and I will add you to the list. Put Sept. 4th-7th, 2008 on your calender now. Remember, planning is half the fun.
