Oklahoma club
We're looking for a camping club in Oklahoma, or close to the state. We are not retired yet, so we need to travel short distances.

We would be intersted in this. Most of my trips are to Lake Murray or to Canton Lake. I would like to go back to Fort Gibson Lake and Lake Eufala. I haven't been over there since I was a kid. If some people are interestd now would be the time to start planning.

We are full time campers (not retired) and would be interested in joining an Oklahoma camping club.

How about a Texan being part of your Oklahoma club? We spend time each spring and fall at Lake Eufaula at Arrowhead State Park.

Are you guys interested in trying to organize a get-together for Oklahoma/Texas in April or June? I like to go to Lake Murray and Lake Texoma but I am willing to expand my horizons to get an Oklahoma group started.

We will be at Lake Eufaula sometime toward the end of March and probably staying until late April or early May. Let us know what is good with the rest.

I have Spring Break March 19-23. We could camp 23-25. We have camped at Lake Murray and Lake Texoma. I have been told that Lake Eufaula has good facilities. We are familiar with Ft. Gibson area as our son went to the university at Tahlequah. I think Okies and Texans would make a good camping club!

I used to go to Ft. Gibson when I was a kid. Nice lake. How about the weekend of March 23rd. Someone else can pick the lake. I am willing to go where everyone wants to meet.

Tenkilller Lake just south of Tahlequa is a really nice lake as well. Snake Creek is a big campground with usually low attendance. (No I've never seen a snake there). Elk Creek, Strayhorn Landing, and Cookson are other good campgrounds. We go to a lot of the lakes mentioned, so I'll keep an eye on this thread even if I am a Kansan.
