Similar 30AMP cord questions...?
Didn't want to hijack Snakepitjones thread, so I'll run a parallel question. I also would like to semi-retire my 50 AMP cord for only necessary occasions, but, was a little concerned that with additional "connections", for adapters, I might run into a problem. Was wondering if those of you share my concerns or are they unfounded...?
Since we got hit with a power surge which fried the converter and some other stuff, I purchased a "Surge Guard" protector, unfortunately after the fact.
Here's the questions;
Can there be too many connections ? will the added connections cause any issues ? how many connections are too many ?
In my scenario I would have a 50/30 adapter at the Monty, connected to a 30 AMP cord, connected to a 30/50 adapter, connected to the 50 Surge Guard, connected to a 50/30 connector plugging into the Park Pedestal's 30 AMP power. That's SIX (6) connections. ( I layed all the pieces out on the floor at Camping World and it looks like a lot of connections to me)
Just wondering what other folks who use autoformers and surge guards are handling this...
thanks, jerry
