Greetings from Hoosier Land
Well I guess it is time for introductions as we will officially bring home the Montana 3400RL tomorrow - that is if the PDI goes OK. We will be pulling with new 06 GMC with Duramax 6 speed Allison Tranny Extended Cab with long box. So much for bragging about equipment. We have been RV'ng for a couple of years now. We actually traded in a 2001 Fleetwood Storm Class A for the Montana. We made the mistake of going in some 5vers at an RV show and realizing how much room that they had that convienced us to make the switch.
I work for FedEx Freight doing instructional design for our Fleet Maintenance department and teach a few leadership classes on the side. I have about 4 more years before DW will let me retire.
Our favorite camping spot is Top Sail at Santa Rosa Beach in Florida and we enjoy Obey River COE in Tennessee other than that we try to hit some state parks here in Indiana.
You all get prepared because being a new 5ver person, I am sure there will be lots of questions coming your way

Well Howdy there roadrunner and welcome to the MOC family.
Sounds like you put together a really nice combination. A Montana and a GMC with the Duramax. Me thinks you are really going to be well plaesed with both.
I also see you're from Indiana. Well Brownsburg is just a hop, skip and jump from Goshen. Did we mention that the MOC rally will be in Goshen this Septemebr? Well it is! Hopefully you and the better half will be able to attend.
Also for the past 2 years the RV campground at the fairgrounds in Indy is one of our stopovers in September on our way south from the rally. As we have friends in Plainfield we will be stopping at the fairgrounds again this year.

Phill & Gladys,
Welcome to the MOC forum. Congrats on your new Montana. Three years ago we too went from MH to 5er as we loved all the extra room. We are now on our second Montana and are happy we have chosen this RV. Now that we are retired we like to stay put in one place for longer periods of time and find the Montana fits our lifestyle better. Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourselves. It is always great to see new members posting. Remember there are no silly or dumb questions for this group. We all have had questions which these great folks willingly and helpfully answered. Enjoy your new wheel estate and jump in with your questions anytime.

Congratulations on a great purchase and welcome to the forum. This is the place to ask your questions. Attending a rally will provide you with lots of practical information, too, and great fellowship.

Welcome and ask away. There are no dumb questions, but occasionally comes a dumbish answer. Things shouldn't be much different from your old class A except you can drop the toad and unhook your motor. You can probably give a lot of practical campground insight to those who are newbies to the RV world. We'll be looking for your posts.

Welcome to MOC and congratulations on the new Montana. I grew up in South Bend. Maybe one of these days we'll cross paths in our travels. Enjoy the forum.

Welcome to the Forum. A good and informative place to get together and learn by others experiences and pass on a few of your own. Congrats on your new unit. I am a born Hoosier and plan on being, "Back Home Again In Indiana" in about 3 weeks. Looking forward to it. Enjoy and we will be looking forward to your experiences.

Welcome to the gang! You will love it here! Remember to ask questions that come to mind, there are no stupid questions, I promise someone else is also wanting to know the answer to the questions we sometimes feel "odd" about asking, so you'll be doing a public service to many of us. We look forward to hearing about your adventures.

Welcome!
I'm impressed that you know what to get and didn't hesitate to get the newest and top end. You won't have to worry about upgrading. We bought our 2004 3400RL before they became so popular. We have enjoyed ours and find something that we didn't know whenever we use it to camp.
Have fun and welcome to the MOC.
