New Member, 1 year RV'ing
Greetings to all from NY State. My husband and I began RV'ing last year upon our retirement. We bought a 3255RL 5th wheel after 3 years of planning. No matter what we looked at we both always came back to the Montana. We hit the road last November to get away from the upstate NY winters. What a great experience! We spent time in Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, Texas, and finally settled for the winter in Arizona. I found this forum through some friends long before we ever bought our Montana and really gained some valuable information from the forums.

Congratulations, and welcome aboard! Like you, once we saw a Montana, nothing else in the price range measured up. We're on our second Montana and still think we made the right decision.

Welcome to the MOC. I can understand why you leave northern NY state in the winter. I have been over to the Mexico/Oswego area many times during the winters.

WOW that sounds a lot like our RV beginning.
Welcome shadybrae, we also began RV'ing upon our retirement. We have the 2955RL which is one size smaller than your 3255RL. We are also from NY state, Ogdensburg, and we also left to get away from the NY winters. We haven't been to Texas or Arizona yet but we do winter in Florida and have spent time in Indiana and Kentucky. We also found this forum months before buying our first Monty. From the information we garnered from this forum we were convinced the Montana was the rig for us. I'm going out on a limb here but I'll bet you even bought your's at Meyer's RV in Syracuse.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new Montana. We also have a 3255RL, and like the open floor plan very much. We have yet to try snowbirding, but I think next year we will be down south with the rest of you!

Welcome,
I lived in Upstate NY for 10 years and I know what you mean about getting away from those winters. I live in Calif. now - lots warmer - sometimes too warm! Share your travels with us.
Happy trails...................
