city water inlet

How do you change the city water inlet hose connector? It looks simple enough from the ouside, but I've learned that working on a camper is not always as it appears.

Why do we have a thirty amp hookup if the largest breaker in your box is a 20 amp breaker?

Remove the screws from the plastic plate pull out the hose will be connected with hose clamp.
You will have to caulk around the plate

Each 20 amp breaker is sized to protect the wiring connected to the breaker, guaranteeing that you will not pull more than 20 amps on the single circuit and cause that circuit wireing to overheat. Lets assume that you are running two ACs, microwave, water heater, TV, and coffee maker all at the same time. Each individual branch circuit that you are using is pulling a certain amount of amps with non of then pulling more than the individual branch circuit breaker is rated for. But, when you add the total amps being used by all the branch circuits together, it may well be 30 or even 50 amps in total. Did I explain this right guys?

Thanks for your help. I thought that was probably the way to repair it, but I wanted to hear it from someone who had made the repair.

The 30 amp hookup feeds multiple breakers. Although you can only pull up to 20 amps thru any one breaker in your 5er, you could be pulling several amps thru multiple breakers. If those multiple loads exceed 30 amps, you will trip the park breaker even though you will not trip any of your 5er breakers.
