This is what I found under the overhang

Here are the pictures of the broken welds I found under the overhang.
The first picture is not a broken weld but the angle iron is broke. All the pictures have the weight of the Montana on the truck. It appears as the angle iron is tack welded to the frame. All the welds on the frame and king pin look good to me.

The corner of the angle iron is cracked across and dropped down abut 1/8"

Weld is broken

So are they just going to weld the breaks or add some reinforcement?

I will not know the answer to that until I get to the factory.

Wow!!

That looks like it could use a major refit. Good thing there is a factory to take it to.
Keep us posted.

I read a couple of other brands of 5W owner forums, looking for a replacement for our Montana in the future. We had serious frame-flex problems with our Montana and have seen what I think is many of the same or similar problems with Montana set out in various MOC forums. None of the other brands owners forums have had any threads touching on this problem that I have seen. Does anyone know if Lippert provides frames to any other mfgr. than Keystone?
