Dishwasher installed in place of washer/dryer

Has anyone installed a full size or apartment dishwasher in the washer closet of a 3400, 3402, 35823759,385 and 3725 models. Is there any reason why a apartment siezed dishwasher couldn't be installed instead of washer?
Bingo, I did a search and saw the unit you were talking about under the stove top.

We currently have a portable apartment sized dishwasher that is not physically installed in our 3750 but we use with a quick-connect to the kitchen sink faucet. I would not see why it could not be hooked up permanently in the washer/dryer closet in this model as long as it could be immobilized. Based on the prior 3400 we had, I would not see a problem with that closet either. The only drawback would be carrying the dishes to the dishwasher and back. We had a countertop model in the 3400 that worked well.

I have a small dishwasher installed in a 3400 under the counter and a washer dryer in the closet therefore I see no reason why you could not put a dishwasher in the closet.

Thats what I was thinking. Only a short distance from the counter to the closet. DW would rather have the dishwasher over the washer/dryer. I know there is room in ther for both.

I checked the demensions of a portable dishwashers and it is about same size of washer/dryers. It can be installed in the closet. I called RV America service department in Longmont Co. and they said they have not installed one in the closet. They also said they can't see why one couldn't be installed along with a washer-dryer combo. They cautioned to not run them both at the same time.

The only concern I would have is the weight of both units and the manner of installation. I would assume the washer/dryer combo would be installed atop the dishwasher on some sort of shelf system. Both units weigh about 150 pounds unloaded. I would think with a properly installed and designed shelf system that was somehow anchored to the floor as well as the side walls of the closet, there would be no problem. The other concern would be the spin cycle on the washer puts out quite a bit of vibration, I would imagine that would intensify with the higher location, but if the washer was anchored to the shelf, should work.

It shouldn't be a problem to build a strong shelf and put the dishwasher on top. I would be concerned with having the washer/dryer on top because of the weight and spin. Home Depot offers a counter top unit that sets and operates on the counter. I don't know much about it. I suppose it could be built in by a skilled country boy. That would be me!!! I think I would want something that holds a larger load.
