Converter

Would disconnecting the battery and leaveing the converter on damage the Converter?

It should not as long as the batter connections are wrapped so they do not short out.
If you draw too much current then you may blow a fuse.

Hope not - I do it every winter. We leave the AC plugged in to run the mousers.

When you say mousers. Is that to keep the mice away? I am having a problem with that. What do you use?

Yes electronic plug in's (AC) I purchased mine at Loews they seem to work going into year two
