Connecting an external propane tank

Hello.

Just bought a 100lb propane tank for winter.
My Montana 375FL has the 2 30lb tanks in front with the pig tail hook ups. I’m trying to connect my 100lb tank into one of these. Already bought one hose that didn’t work (was too small on both ends).

Is it one of these extend a stay hook ups I need or what? Appreciate any help guys.

Pics of where I’m trying to connect to.

When I used to use a 100lb tank I just disconnected one tank and used a longer hose and connected to the regulator/Auto switch over.

When we were spending a winter after a hip replacement about six years ago, I had a local propane company set up a 100 gallon tank next to our rig and they made up a hose to connect to our regulator. When the gauge on the tank got down to a certain point, I just called them and they would fill it up on their next weekly route.

I set up a tee and twist valve between my left 30# tank and the regulator. When I run off the 100# tank, I close the left 30# and open the twist valve to the 100#. When not using the 100#, I coil it's hose up on top of the 30#.

The propane supplier made a hose for me and I ran it from the regulator on the propane tank directly to the propane inlet below the propane tanks. The hose they made connected directly to the black pipe going back into the rig.

I don’t have anything to add to the original post but I was wondering if anyone knows if a regulator can be mounted off-level as shown in the picture and perform as it is supposed to? Anyone know?

Thanks,
Max

Our propane supplier is used to connections to RV's and so they had the regulator mounted on the tank so I could connect direct to the black pipe.
