New Keyed Alike Locks

I was camping over this past holiday and met a couple in the RV industry.

After some talking they have an Electronic lock for the entry door and also have a system to replace the locks (cylinders only) on the slam latches too, all being keyed to a single key! They can even send new cylinders to replace the ole standard "751" key.

They are NOT keyed to the thousands of other factory units, even a "master" key can't get into these locks they say. We shall found out this week, I hope.

I will keep this thread updated as soon as I get pricing and also get mine installed.

I never lock any of our compartment doors. If a thief wants in they will get in anyway and if it's locked they will do many dollars in damage to the door plus what they steal. Been full-timing almost 9 years and never anything stolen.

Is your lock remote equipped? Is it made from metal or plastic? Did you also replace your “751” locks to be keyed the same as your entry door? What brand did you purchase?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to become informed.

While I do agree , more damage can occur with compartments locked , I’m looking more for when not using the coach. We do NOT live full time in ours.

I just watched a few youtube reviews on these locks. Think I'll get one for my rig.

I attempted to replace all my locks with the same keyed locks on my 2016 model through RVLocks. The 3820FK has two doors and the electronic locks work fine. The front battery and generator doors with cylinder locks were exchanged for same key#. The compartment storage doors are 1 inch thick and the handles were not compatible with Montana’s latches, requiring a gap of 1.5 inches to latch the metal clasps on the Interior side/frame. I had to send them back losing $30 in shipping and other fees. The LCI level compartment is a 1/4 inch plastic insert and did not find anything compatible for the lock. Thus I still have 3 keys; doors and utility compartments, storage doors and one LCI panel. Had 4 to start with.

I replaced everything on our current Montana with keyed alike global link locks, cylinders, and slam latches. On our old RV we used Bauer locks. Both brands work well Bauer does have a better deal on the electronic locks.
