Satellite antennas

We've noticed that King makes a tailgater type antenna that works with either DirecTV or Dish. Is there a roof top antenna with the automatic aiming feature that will work with both systems? I can find one that works with Dish and another that works with DirecTV, but not one that will work with either.

Between ridiculous price increases and messing with favored programming, it would be great to have the flexibility to play one against the other without having to own two separate antenna systems.

I use a Carryout G2 by Winegard, it's not fastened permanently to my roof, just sitting there. It will switch between Dish and Direct

The Winegard Carryout G2 does both direct and dish and can mounted to the roof with their special mount. Like DonandBonnie I've kept mine portable. Easier to maneuver around trees. You can always buy a Winegard RoadTrip which does both and install yourself. My quote installed was about $2000.

The Automatic ones except for the Winegard Trav'ler will not get HD on DirecTV only SD. Dish supports HD on a number of their automatics. Winegard Trav'ler has a version for Dish and a version for DirecTV. I understand you can buy a conversion kit to go from one to the other. Not a 5 minute job.
