Never heard of them, which doesn’t mean much, but if they are made in China I’d pass.

We have a great tire, Sailum. No I haven’t heard of them but why gamble a $80,000 camper on a $200 tire.

I've heard of them but they are just another "me-too" tire. Personally I wouldn't take the gamble either. Sailun tires have such a good price point with a great reputation why gamble on an unknown?

I put a set on our rig in January. Unfortunately haven't gone anywhere because of Covid 19. I was able to purchase from wholesale distributor, so saved many $$$.

I called Simple Tire to ask about difference between Trans Eagle and Sailun since they sell both. They told me they had the exact same construction except the Trans Eagle has a higher speed rating than Sailun. Tire was at least twice as heavy as the load F tire it replaced.

Tread looks similar to Sailun. Wonder how many Chinese tire manufacturers are making all steel load g ST tires? My hopes are they were made by Sailun, but no way to verify.

Because I can not get sailing tires here and if I order on line no one will mount them for insurance reasons

Interesting. I had no trouble. I bought them on Amazon and Discount Tire mounted them for me.

Ordered Sailun's from Walmart on line $127.00 each, shipped to Walmart in Yuma this past winter. I took the wheels in and they mounted free as they were bought from Walmart, charged me $12.00 per tire for balancing.

I ordered and received Walmart Sailuns 2 weeks ago to replace ones I found with screws in them. Manufacture dates matched and very recent, nearly 40K on the first set, wearing well except for the road crap putting holes in them. Discount tire mounted/balanced them, good to go for the next adventure.

Transamerica is one of those private brand tire wholesaler's entering into the OEM tire market.

Their signature brand trailer tires are Transeagle. They have obviously done their homework and have entered with five popular sizes with all steel construction. Here is a listing.

ST235/80R16 LRG
ST235/85R16 LRG
ST225/90R16 LRG
ST225/75R15 LRF
ST215/75R15 LRG

All have an 81 MPH speed rating letter (M).

But the key question remains...how good are they, really? We know that Sailuns git-r-dun so what makes these a contender?

Once we know the answer to that, we'll never have questions about quality, will we?

Ahhh, and therein lies the question....who wants to put an unknown tire on their RV to see if will be OK or cost them several thousand dollars vs putting on a known, proven tire? I'm in the latter camp.

That will amount to next to nothing if one or more blow. I’m more concerned with safety and saving the 5er from tire destruction.

Weird reasoning. When I bought Sailun from Simple Tire, they found an installer in my little SWFL town. Perhaps you should investigate further.

Check the DOT number. It’ll tell you what factory they are made in. Sailuns are MW27.

I tried to find info about MW27 but got lost in Google land. I'm not trying to start an argument over this, but even if the Trans Eagle tire is made by Sailun, in a Sailun factory, how can we determine if it is made to the same standard as the Sailun tire we are extolling as the be all, end all? Also, unless its recently changed, we know from prior experience that the NHTSA doesn't monitor or hold ST tires to the same standards as passenger and truck tires, and it's not unknown for Chinese mfgrs. to put anything they want on tires. They've been called out by the NHTSA for doing that on passenger and truck tires.
