Don't know how the cable/electric slides are powered. But that is the same symptoms as hydraulic slides that are powered thru an auto reset circuit breaker. Breaker heats up and opens and slides stop. Breaker cools after a few seconds, closes, and slides start again. Breaker heats up and opens and ...... repeat, repeat. If yours is powered thru an auto reset circuit breaker, that is the first place I would look.
