Installing a morryde cargo slide

What type of screws do you use to install a morryde cargo slide? Is there anything to watch for or be careful of when fastening to the floor?

Since MORryde sliding tray information claims an easy install in minutes and all you need is a screw gun, I would assume they come with the attaching screws. If screws are not included the mounting hardware will be pre-drilled so depending on the size of those holes you can determine your screw size, perhaps a #10 or #12 screw. I believe the floor in the storage area is 3/4" thick and you would not want to extend the screw through the floor, so you are likely looking at about a 3/4" screw. Personally I would use machine screws and not wood screws but do not know if the mounting hardware has countersunk holes, in which case you would want to use a countersunk wood screw.

Wish I could afford some of those myself. Good luck with the install.

I installed mine, a stromberg Carlson version. Came with heavy toggle bolts. Had to drill holes in the compartment floor and drilled pilot holes just thru the floor and then inserted a wire in the pilot hole to ensure I was not going to hit anything. then sealed with silicon as I installed each bolt. Installed on our 2010 and removed and then reinstalled on our 2015.

Installed our 4kw inverter in the cargo hold with 3/4 inch #10 stainless screws (eight of them). Although it weighs about 80 lbs, I'm certain it won't go anywhere unless we're in a really serious wreck.

I installed mine with 3/4" wood screws about 3 years ago and no problems. The only thing I had to do was use a 3/4" spacer under it so the slides would come out over the door sill.

I had to use a 1/2 inch spacer for the tray to clear the door sill and allowed for 3/4 inch penetration.......so used 1 1/4 inch lag bolts. Super simple installation.
