TV Removal
Any suggestions on how to remove the TV in the 3400? Got the top screw out but can't figure how to remove the bottom screws (or whatever is holding the TV in place) at the bottom

I don't know what year 3400 you have, but I have a 2008 (mfg in 2007) 3400RL. There is a VCR storage drawer on the desk. I pull it out and am able to get to the clip that holds the Tv in place. You will have to have help. I have DW raise up on the clip while I pull it out from the front bottom. Don't fret, it will not fall out until it is out about 8 inches or so. Pulling it out is the only way to get to the HDMI connection and you have to unscrew the mount that it slides on to do so.
Does that help?

Thank you for your reply. Our 3400 is a 2005 (built in 2004). We have no VCR storage drawer. Our VCR is in the cupboard above the TV. Below the TV is the fireplace. Any other suggestions?

Hopefully, someone with that model will have more input.
Good luck.

You have to remove the fireplace in order to get to the bottom screws. The fireplace is held by four screws, two located on each side/frame.

You have to remove the fireplace to access the bottom screw that's holding the TV in place. To remove the fireplace - take out the 4 wooden plugs in each corner of the fireplace molding and that will expose the screws you need to remove. After you remove the fireplace, look up under the TV and you will see the TV hold down screw.

Slide a hacksaw blade under the tv and saw the screws out.

Thank you for the suggestion of removing the fireplace to get to and remove the screws going to the bottom of the TV. Was easy to do and now we are looking at our lcd-hd TV and enjoying life.
