For those that like camping on BLM land

Found a spot near Old Tucson, off Hwy 86 to Ajo, AZ. The location is called Snyder Hill. It is very near town and on BLM land so camping is free. GPS coordinates are N32 09.368 W111 06.916
Not so isolated you're afraid to leave your rig yet fellow campers are not too close. We are traveling with Jretz and plan on being here a few days at least, then off to Benson. Just wanted to share this location with those that like camping on BLM land.
Regards,
John

I hope I can remember this if and when we ever travel out west. Question, is there any kind of fee that has to be paid for staying on BLM property or is it just open for anyone that happens by?

No fee here for camping on BLM land. There is a 14 day limit. I have heard that there are options available to stay long term on BLM land and for that there is a fee but I don't know any of the particulars.
It seems like it might be a good idea to have a category that MOC'ers can share free camping areas they come across with a simple rating check box YES or NO if you would recommend this spot to others. Thoughts?

Maybe a Sticky or something, that sounds like a good idea.

A good place to start a search for free camping is [url]freecampgrounds.com[/url. There are nearly 2000 locations listed, including 14-day and long term BLM areas in Winterhaven, CA that were posted recently.
