Carol ... if you remove the shelf, you have room for a residential-style bathroom cabinet. We had one in our 3295 and I really miss that storage. I could really get a lot of stuff in there and the doors never came open during travel.

With our 3400, I found two baskets that fit side-by-side, with enough room between them for the can of Oust. It's quite simple to move the baskets to get to the electrical box and I just put a tension rod across the baskets for travel ... and the rod fits behind the baskets when we're not traveling.

Isn't it amazing how many different ideas we've posted here for the same space?

Yea, Vicki, I imagine you do miss that cabinet, that was sweet!!! I have yet to be able to talk Al into losing the shelf, as we have coat hooks below it (came that way OEM) and he loves those hooks for hanging stuff on. Maybe some day!

Vicki, You can still use the same cabinet you had in the 3295. I took your idea and installed one in our 3400RL. All I had to do was cut out a hole in the back to get access to the panel, and it looks great.
Also the the wife would not be with out it.
Thanks for the idea.

I got it the same place Steve did. You can pick one up at "Home Depot" already put together, all you have to do is cut out the back and install it where the shelf is.

My 2004 Mountaineer 297RKS has cabinets from the floor to the overhead, on the wall opposite the toilet. No shelf over the toilet. On the models after 04 they took the cabinets out and put the shelf in. Wife sez that was another guy design. Wife puts the towels and things in the upper set. In the lower we have room for tp and toilet cleaning stuff. I have room in it for my trailer life, good sam, and diesel power magazines. We have room left over. I have found that they could have made these units deeper by not makeing the entertainment center behind it so deep. They wasted a good foot of space, behind that whole system.
