Solar & Inverters

Just returned from Elkhart with our new 2955RK. Installed a trail-air extended pin box, and was impressed with the difference of the ride, with the new pin box installed.
While at the dealer, I inquired about solar panels and inverters. I received very liitle info on these products.
Has any one installed solar or inverters on their rigs?? Any tech info would be appreciated.

I know, an old topic. I installed a 2500 watt inverter in mine. Greatest improvement I made. To go with it, there are seven batteries in the front compartment. It is a freedom 458 with 130 amp charger. Now I don't have to listen to the fan on the converter. And it is a three stage charger, much better for the batteries. It has saved so much wear and tear on the generator. About the only thing I can't run on it is the water heater and air. Sad to say, it will start the air!! I also change the refer to gas. Drains the batteries in a hurry. I also do this on generator too. Best of all, people wonder how you can have a TV and awning lights on when you are in the non-electric sites.

Hummer I have two questions for you if you can find time to answer. First did you pickup your Montana from Keystone or from a dealer there? And second, did you have much trouble getting a TrailAir hitch installed? Happy rving...
