Glenn, we stayed there in 2003 for about a week. It's not a "destination" campground, but it was fine. We had full hookups for about US$24 per night. It's about 12 miles from town, so it was pretty convenient for sightseeing in Halifax, and not bad for exploring the general area (Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, etc.). They also stored our RV for 6 nights while we flew back home. Charged us $2 per night.
We really enjoyed that area. If you can swing it, I highly recommend going on to Newfoundland, but you really need some time to do it justice.
