Suspension on new 3725

My new 3725RL has the new MOR/Ryde LRE 4000 rubber suspension system. The only thing I remember the salesman telling me about it was that it can travel 4", therefore giving you a smoother ride. Is this an option, and for those of you that have it do you think it makes a difference? It sure looks pretty! I hope when I get my delivery orientation they will give me more information on it.

Not sure if it is an option now or standard but it should be standard. My 06 came with just standard suspension and shocks. It is a rear kitchen as was my old trailer. In all the miles we towed the old trailer we never broke a dish or glass but it had Equaflex suspension. But when I bought the Montana and towed it the 150 miles home we broke a bunch of dishes. My frig was all discombobulated, cabinet doors opened and broke a bunch of dishes and glasses. So I put on LT tires which I believe helped some and put on EX Flex which is about the same thing. Same trip now and everything stays in place. I can leave something on the counter and it is still there when I get there. We have made one cross country trip where we hit some very very rough road and still stuff stayed in place. So yes I think some type of rubber suspension should be mandatory.

Whether or not it is the suspension system or not, we can tell a definite difference in the truck when we are pulling the new Big Sky versus our previous models. This Big Sky somehow has made the truck ride smoother, there can only be two factors: 1) shorter pin box or 2) different suspension system. Something changed is all we know.

Yes, it is a better ride. We have yet to have a cabinet open up during travel. I have two cameras out the back and the Monty just floats down the highway. One of my cameras is right on the hitch. And to further support this system, I do not have an air ride hitch like almost all other Heavy Duty Truck (HDT) owners.

Hey, Bingo, do you need a comb? I have extras. I can send you one. lol

Comb does not help much with impending baldness and receding hairline influenced by cross-winds! Some super glue might be a better option on windy days!! Appreciate the offer nonetheless!!!

The MOR/Ryde LRE 4000 rubber suspension system has been OEM for awhile. In our case we had the Mor Ryde IS system on the 06 3400 and there is no comparison. The first thing we noticed on the new 13 Big Sky was how rough, to us , the ride was compared to the IS system.

we were going to have the IS system installed on this unit and are disappointed that the new "premium" big Sky does not have a better suspension system. Upgraded suspension systems are on premium 5th wheels.

We could not believe the difference the MOR/Ryde suspension, along with the MOR/Ryde kingpin, made towing our 2012 3402, compared to our previous 25 ft SOB with standard suspension and hard pin box. The IS looks like a good upgrade, as does a suspension system that was in a past Trailer Life magazine. So far, we are happy with what this rig has, until something breaks Recently upgraded to G614's, and surprise!, even that improved the ride by adding more stability.

I believe the 4000 system was introduced on the 2013 models. I think our 2011 3750FL had the 3000 system and the 2007 3400 did not have a number associated with it that I recall, it was just known as a MorRyde suspension. This is solely from memory, but I can assure you there is an improved difference in the suspension system now and what we had on the previous models. I assume that it is in the increased 4" travel, but would like confirmation of that somehow.

The 4000 system is standard , part of the Moving to Montana package. He was correct on the 4 in movement. Eliminating a great deal of shock. Our 14 rides much better than our 10 did,. It had the 3000. I'd suggest that you be ready to ask questions.

Having had the Mor Ryde Is system on the 06 3400 for 5 years the 4000 system is a rough ride. If you are a high end user the Is system would be a good investment. We had hoped the "premium" Big Sky should have the upgraded suspension system.

Our 2010 3400RL has the Mor/Ryde LRE 4000 suspension and the Mor/Ryde pin box. We do have the Moving To Montana package and that may be why it is on ours. We can definitely tell a huge difference compared to our last 5er which was 31' and had the ridged Lipert pin box and standard suspension.

Joe, The new suspension is great on the 3725RL. It rides a lot nicer and I found I'm now getting about 200 ft. lbs. more torque, 150 more Horse Power and an extra 5 miles per gallon in my truck.

Sorry, couldn't resist myself!

Yep our 2012 3402rl has it and it is a BIG improvement over our 2003 Big Sky and it has the wet bolt kit to boot... SWEET!

I believe that some of the credit for the 3725RL's smooth ride is that it has almost 500 pounds of more kingpin weight. It makes a lot of difference.

Bingo, what about the mor/ryde pin box. Did you have that before? I know when I added an Airborne pin box to my SOB 5ver, it made a HUGE difference. Not sure the chucking equals rear cabinets a mess, but it might help???
