Alturas to Fenley, 299/447 hwy

Anyone towed a rv from alturas to Fenley and how was the road this time of year??

We just came down 395 from Alturas to the Reno area. I've never been on hwy 447. But it looks like a good road. Hwy 395 is good all the way.

I came down 447 about 30 years ago (not in an RV) and from what I can remember part of it was a dirt road. As I recall it was a fairly flat drive, but would never do it again. Getting to 447 from 299 out of Alturas you will have to go over Cedar Pass so you will have to watch the weather if going in the winter time. You can check out the road on the traffic cam, just click on the red dot in the upper right corner.
