Best KOA Billings Montana

The best KOA campground we have stayed at was in Billings Montana...

Not only does the free WiFi reach to EVERY campsite ( no down tranformers or being out of range)....but there is grass at all campsites, and some even have a cement pad by the grass with a swing for two and a table with an umbrella for a higher fee of course).

There is a miniature golf course...ice cream social...BBQ hamburger, steak, rib, meal you can purchase and eat in a common outside area or take back to your campsite.

The place is clean and well kept up...

Shower rooms....OMG! like having your own private (full) bathroom. (And there is 6 shower rooms to choose from).

Traveling through Montana.....Keep Billings KOA in mind.

Having stayed there about 10 years ago we left with the same feelings about it as you have. The only negative thing we could come up with at the time was the price. At that time it was the most expensive park we had ever stayed in. What's the going rate today? Also, was it not the very first KOA to be established?

Based on my experience and IMHO, "best KOA" is an oxymoron.

The price was I think around $44.00 for full hook up pull thru.

And yes I just learned about this site being the first KOA.

The price to us was within reason of other places we have found.

Our experience has been the same. $44/night is a lot more than I've had to pay at other campgrounds and I don't think KOA has that much more to offer. As someone said some time ago in another post like this, "I just want a place to park and sleep."

The KOA's we have stayed at have all been nice (including the one in Billings), but are geared more for families with kids/grand kids.

We have a grandson/wife, and now a new great grandson that live in Billings so that is one of the places that we travel to as often as possible. There are only a couple of campgrounds in the city. KOA and Yellowstone right next door. Both are on the river in a very nice setting. Of the two, we prefer the KOA but on occasion we have had to stay up front is the patio areas. $65.00 per day was a heck of a lot more then we wanted to spend but to see the kids, it was worth it... If it wasn't for family we would have gone a few miles further and paid half that.... They do justify the price as being the first KOA...

We stayed at this KOA about 8 years ago. At that time it was the most expensive park we had ever stayed in. We've not stayed in a KOA since.
