Wheel bearings

Just learned (the hard way) that using an air compressor powered grease gun is not the way to lube your bearings on the newer zerk fitted type axles.
First symptom was a lack of braking power. Upon further checking, found inside seals gone, grease on shoes and magnets. Had to replace both on all wheels.
Tech recommended just to: first, just ignore the zerk fittings and get the bearings checked / repacked once a year, or second (less desirable), use a small hand powered grease gun and be real gentle with the pressure. Apparently the inside seals are a little fragile.

Just wanted others to learn from my mistake.

1996 Ford F-350 Crew Cab, 4WD,BD downpipe, exhaust brake and trans mods. Airlift air bags, Michelin E rated mud /snow tires. Trailer tires recently upgraded to 16 inch, E rated Bridgestones.
