new thought on 2nd AC

Just read (part) of the operation manual for the Duo-Therm AC and digital wall controller. Since this has the ability to control 2 AC's in zone mode, will it controll another brand of AC as well as our Duo Therm? Like if we went with the Carrier.

Next thought. should we consider a heat pump version for the 2nd or stay with conventional lo profile penguin??

You might want to check into getting the heat strip vs. the heat pump. Will save you some money. I will say I use the heat strip alot on my 2nd a/c. Between that, a space heater, and the fireplace, the coach can get pretty cozy. Just a thought...

In order to control separate areas you must have heat pump installed, which the factory AC is not, so no it will not work as it currently is.
