COVID Information
I hope everyone had a fulfilling time at this years Rally, I know we did.
The attached is an excellent article on COVID based on the latest information available. It also has a link for determining how to proceed if you have COVID or were exposed to COVID.

I suspect there will be annual covid shots to go along with annual flu shots for each year’s new variant.

There will always be a new variant. How fortuitous for big farma!

I thought when we got our first Covid we would be protected like Polio. Wouldn’t that have been nice. Now I’m sure that isn’t true. What I worry about is a new variant like the 1918 epidemic that wipes out hundreds of millions around the world.

Seems the newer strains are more contagious but less virulent. If we get new strains that are more contagious AND more virulent we could be worse off than when this all started. A moving target much like the yearly changing flu strains.
The “pandemic over” statement surprised me since my wife and I and 3 different friends all got covid in the last 3 months. And none of us had been around each other in 6 months or more so we all got it from different sources. And the 7 day rolling average of deaths still runs between 400 and 500. That’s still a lot of people dying for no longer a pandemic.

It's going to be just like the flu. New stain each year some worse than others.
You're in for annual Covid shot same as flu. The "shot/vaccine" will not keep you from testing or having symptoms (same as flu) but the hope is your symptoms will be mild and manageable.
It's basically a respiratory flu. You can choose to hibernate or live life.
Anytime you are outside your home, have visitors including family, get fuel, groceries etc you are being exposed.

We hope the new strains are less virulent, but one could show up that is much worse and at the same time more contagious. That is the one we haft to be concerned about.
