Aluminum roof structure

We live in our 2011 3400RL, and recently noticed we can see the roof joists on the ceiling. Anyone else notice this? Is this anything we need to worry about? I don't notice any leaks.

Probably a difference in the insulation R value similar to a frosty day and when you look at a houses roof you can see the trusses. A bit mor interesting as it is on the inside of your unit. If you have a inferred thermometer you could check and see what the temperature difference is.

Assuming you're not sitting in sunny Florida ... I'd look into getting a dehumidifier like you'd use in a stick house. You may have prolonged high humidity and the rafters are sweating onto your ceiling. This is purely a guess.

Actually, up until a year or two ago, the roof trusses were steel. We saw at the fall rally of 2014 that they had changed to using plastic trusses, which they assured us were just as strong, if not stronger than the steel. I believe one of the reasons given for the change was to enable easier installation of fasteners during assembly. If your roof/attic area is cold enough, like what was said, the steel may be cold enough to bleed the cold to the inside surface of the ceiling and showing some condensation where the trusses are. It may help to better ventilate the interior of your rig to remove some of that moisture.

Never seen that, but we do use a dehumidifier.

As always, the disclaimer, which this time is, maybe I just don't understand the issue.

However, gonna take a stab at this.

Do you burn candles or happen to smoke in the unit?

Seems I remember, in the deep recesses of my leaky memory that members reported having the ceiling discolor and such when they burned candles in their unit. They were full timers.

Anyway, something else you can digest and then, spit out.

Hope you are not confusing a humidifier with a dehumidifier! The hot days are the days most important to have the dehumidifier on.
