Thanks for the welcome

Our 2010 3400RL in the Mocha color is due at the dealer the end of the month. The 3400 finally won out over the 3665 after much discussion. The Montana replaces a 2000 39' Cardinal which has served us well over these last 10 years but the new Montana decor has won us over. We also have a 10' Palamino truck camper which we use a lot in the summer and will use it this fall for some Adventure Caravan trips to New York, Vermont and New Hampshire. The Montana will get most of it's use over the winter in Texas.

What tires are on the 2010 Montana's? Also my reading of this forum already says I have some sewer boom work to do in addition to doing what cabling it takes to make the bedroom and living room TV's satellite ready.

I just picked up our 2010 3400RL on Friday. It was built the end of May and has Goodyear E rated tires.

For tires, make sure you keep E-rated or even G-rated and avoid Mission branded tires. The most popular seem to be Goodyear Marathons.

For sewer boom work and TV look under addtions and modifications. A search of either topic should yield some discussions.

Welcome to the forum.

We had Charles Wade of Keystone at the Spring Rally. He shared that the type trailer tires (ST) used on the Montanas are mandated by regulations. You can replace them with the tires you wish, but Keystone has to put trailer tires on the units manufactured. All the trailer tires are manufactured in China. There very few exceptions. One exception is the Goodyear G614 G-rated tire.

After the rig leaves the factory, you can change them to LT (light truck) and you have more American made options.

Just curious, what made you decide on the 3400 over the 3665?

Carlisle also makes a "Made in the USA" ST tire. I just put 4 on my 3485 about 3 weeks ago so I can't report on their serviceability.
