Montana - Little Bighorn

We are looking for a campground near Little Bighorn. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

David,
When we visited that area we stayed at 7th Ranch. It is just south of the Little Bighorn. At the time it had only been open about one year. It sits on the side of a hill. Very nice sites. I think they were all pull-thrus. It is sort of weird getting to the park. If I remember correctly you need to get off about 3 miles before the park and go down a local road. You are on the west side of the higway and the park is on the east. You cross the freeway (I don't remember if it was an over or under crossing) and head for the park. When we were there the last quarter mile to the park was a gravel road. I hope the park is still in business. We would definitely stay there again. They should be in Woodall's or one of the other books.

You can actually see the battle site from the park off in the distance. We had some awesome sunsets and sunrises.

Let us know if you use the park.

There is/was a KOA right by the site that we stayed at several years ago. I think it is still there too.

We stayed at the Hardin KOA for $100 for the week (in 2004). Full hookups. It was not the typical KOA. I sent you an email about the area and some other things to see.

We stayed at the Grandview RV Park in Hardin, Mt. It was cheap and a few miles from the Little Bighorn Park. It needed about 5 truckloads of gravel n their driveways but other than that, it was alright. The town has a museum and a store with about a million things to choose from. Both worth going to see. Good Luck and enjoy the Bighorn. A good piece of history and we were luck enough to have two young people from the local tribe that give a very good narration of what happened there. Hope this helps. Have a good trip
