Bedroom quilt

We replaced our bedroom quilt and pillows with a quilt that we love and made our bedroom feel more "homey." Should we keep the one that came with our rig?
If we ever trade our rig in, will the dealer want the original quilt?

I also use something different on our bed. I have stored my pillow shams and quilt in a secure place in our stick house, for when we ever do get rid of this 5th wheel. Stacy

I would keep it somewhere.

I personally look past those used units that are missing the original interior furniture and accessories, primarily because the designers tie the interior decoration so closely together. Because the bedspread is not an off the shelf item, you are forcing the next buyer to have one made custom if you don't keep it.

I agree, keep it somewhere. A used unit on the lot has more eye appeal and looks complete with all the matching accessories, same for the furniture.

I agree. We no longer use ours, but we do still have it.

You should keep it. Recently when making a deal on a new rig the dealer asked us if we had the original covers and pillows. We had removed the king bed and put a queen in. In doing so we had to cut the plywood base to fit the queen. We were still able to use the original king cover for the queen.

We used our factory bedspread for years but once we started full timing it was so heavy so I changed it out to something else. I also packaged ours up and put it in storage so that I could put it back in the bedroom if we ever sell or do a trade in. They do make the campers look nice when on display.

We did the same as the above posters, except I have our bagged and tucked away in the trailer.

I did this because I know how things that go into storage don't appear until AFTER I need the item.

Another reason for us to remove the factory cover was because of the little tag that say's "Dry Clean Only"

Let us know what you have decided

When we traded our previous 5er the dealer wasn't even interested that we had the original quilt so the one from the Montana is long gone.

We are going to keep it. Chuck said "Why would we ever want to trade in our fifth wheel?"
He needs to see the vision and who knows what will be on the market in 5 years?

I keep saying that right up until I trade in for a new one! My mouth is already watering over the anniversary edition features and I haven't wore out the tires yet on my 2007!

With our first 5th wheel, we kept the spread and pillows and put them back in the rig when we traded it in. The dealer signed the deal without ever looking inside the RV.
On our second 5th wheel, we kept the spread and pillows. Put them in our stick house in Colorado. We traded in the rig while we were in California. The dealer looked through our rig, but never asked about the spread and pillows.
When we moved into the current 5th wheel in California in September, we bundled up the spread and pillows and donated them to Goodwill. when we returned to the stick house we gave away the stuff from the previous 5th wheel. If it makes a difference down the road that we don't have the spread and pillows, I'll live with it. But I'll not mess with storing the stuff, now that we've gone fulltime.

If you don't have room to keep it don't worry as it won't be a deal breaker if it's not there should you decide to trade it in.

We don't have: the original TV, original sound system, original axles, original tires, original microwave, original hitch pin, original sewer hose, original recliners, only three chairs left, BUT we do have the original bedspread. I guess we wouldn't get much for our unit on trade, Of course, we don't plan on trading, but Man that hickory edition is BEAUTIFUL! Ain't it Brad?????
