Added LCI SolidSteps yesterday

Added LCI SolidSteps yesterday. Long story short. I got 3 hugs and 3 kisses after DW tried out the new stairs. She has some mobility and vision issues. The new steps are great. She really likes the extra deep top step. Oh and I can add the MORryde handle to them if needed. Like the fact the feet are recessed. Less of a tripping hazard

As for the install I got the 30" wide quad steps. Easy peasy install. Used the silver colored wood screws.

Downside: They have dent on the one side and the latch was bent on the same side. Great steps poor packaging. No directions either. Used a Gen2 install manual I found online.

Agreed. I installed the LCI steps last week and like them a lot.
Note that both the LCI and Morryde steps will have some movement and sliding when on the ground and you are still leveling the rig with the landing gear. Don't want the steps to get into a bind or get bent.
Also mine came with a bent latch, just bent it back, no worries.

Mine are on order. About 2-3 week delivery. Looking forward to solid summer!

The real question is do I feel rich enough to put the tool box where the old steps were. Looks like a great idea, but the price is kind of high. Might take some backyard mechanics!

I just added (yesterday) this from Stromberg Carson. It was ~42 bucks on Amazon but appears to have taken off in the 4 days since I ordered it. It bolts directly in the existing holes. And those 3 kisses from my DW - well let's leave it at that

Removing the old stairs was a bear. They were not centered in the opening. I am planning on the box at some point in the future.

I have likewise ordered the same handle as you got. Will install it next week when work slows down a little. Happy wife = Happy life ( she wanted it, lol)

It will take all of 10 minutes to install. One thing they don't supply is a short strip of butyl caulk to seal it against the side though luckily I have a roll

OK guys you just cost me some coin with this mod. Momma saw it, Momma ordered it. The stock handle works fine for me but I'm 6' 2". She's 5' 2" so it is a bit of a stretch for her. It cost $54 with no tax and free shipping from Amazon. Dave W you got a good deal at $42.

My DW and I are at about the same heights as you two at 6'4" and 5'5". I thought the original handle was just fine .....

It was actually $42.16, no tax and free shipping. Interesting that several vendors had it within a few cents of that $42 buck price at the time and they too have gone up. Sounds like Stromberg had a special.

Amazing how AMAZON and their vendors can vary prices. When I added the second a/c, it too was shipped free and no tax. The price went up about $200 the next week.

And our DW share the same name. I also forgot to add that she had a hip replacement a few years ago so anything that helps going up and down stairs is a good thing. Thanks for the mod!
