Portable Waste Tank
We bought a two wheeled Camco rhino waste tank and after our first use I wasn't happy with it. The thing is just heavy to lift and roll to the hitch. Then we had gravity issues with the height of the tank when transferring. We are looking at a quartzite trip and was curious what tank would be great for towing off road and that can be towed behind an electric trike that doesn't have a hitch?

Gunny, I had the same problem with our Rhino tank. Ended up getting a macerator pump and putting the tank in the back of the truck. I use the macerator to pump the waste water and black water to the tank with a 3/4" garden hose, then drive to the dump station and dump with a normal sewer hose. It takes a bit longer, but it really works well and no heavy lifting. After open heart surgery not long ago, I don't have the upper body strength I used to have.

DutchmenSport - I have one just like yours. Bought it 20 yrs ago when we were in a pop-up. It has been living in the barn and not used for a long time. Where do you put it for transport during a trip?

Bed of the pick-up, right up against cab. If you look at this photo, it's the blue thing behind that black box. That black box are all my sewer hoses:

I have a 25 gallon blue boy that has no brand name on it which I bought about 15 yrs ago. It has beenn used extensively while boondocking, primarily in the SW and Mexico for months at a time. It has served us well. However hooking it up to the hitch on the truck has gotten harder over the years and I just bought a macerator to get around all that pulling, prodding, and lifting. It is well worth the money. Also (we're bondocking in Quartzite now) I don,t have to worry that the rocks jutting out of the roads here will cut open the bottom of the tank. At Imperial Dam, another BLM LTVA (long term visitor area) the tank hit a large, loose rock and flipped right over . That was fun. I wish I had bought the macerator years ago.

I believe you can buy a front wheel kit for your tank.
