TV lift
Well, we've had our 2013 Mountaineer 358rlt since August 2, 2012 and our problem list is getting longer. These are some of the "little" problems we have had so far. The frig outside door cover came off on the way home from dealer, toilet seat was cracked, split in AC vent cover in LR (dealer took care of these right away). Then ceiling molding was too long and jammed up to make it fit so after traveling it pulled away from the ceiling and wall. DH fixed this. The gasket on one of basement storage doors pulled off and twisted, and now after less than 20 raises, the TV lift made by Lippert broke while using remote to raise it and TV fell back down. Luckily the TV didn't break but we had just gone to a campout and had to remove fireplace to get TV out where we could at least prop it up and watch it. Has anyone else had any problems with the TV Lift? The part that broke doesn't look very well constructed and if it is replaced with same, I look for it to happen again.
Also one of the recliners had a split in the fabric on the bottom of chair. Have sent pictures of chair, gasket and TV Lift part to our dealer. The warranty manager has been great and has kept us posted but he has to get Keystone to approve everything to be covered so we are waiting now for parts to repair TV lift and door gasket, don't know yet about the chair. Although these are small things, more attention to detail might solve some of these problems before leaving the plant. We live 130 miles from dealer so it is not convenient to take FW back for every little thing. All in all we love our FW and hope the problems won't continue to happen.

When we encountered problems we found it worked best to call Keystone Customer Service first and have them deal with the dealer. Since we are full timers we've actually never had a repair done by the selling dealer, but Keystone has been easy for us to deal with. Personally I've never heard of a problem like yours with the TV lift, but I may have just missed it.

I dont know how long these lifts have been in the rvs, they are neat, but not sure how well they are going to hold up. Thought we would go through our dealer first as they have been great so far. My husband can repair almost anything, so we like to do the repairs ourselves without taking the rv in. We travel quite a bit and don't want to be without it for long also know repairs will be done to our satisfaction. Most of our problems are caused by the product manufacturer and not Keystone, but they need to know about them so they can put pressure on their suppliers to do a better job.

We have had ours for three years of heavy use with no problem yet. Did take me a year to discover that there was a wall switch in addition to the remote for up and down operation

I was using the remote and it got about 3/4 up and just fell. The bolt that makes it go up came unwelded. They couldn't identify the part (sent pictures)
So they are replacing the entire lift. Hope it's been improved. Thinking about putting tv on the stand and anchoring it to cabinet. Just so happened I had taken the stand out of the camper the week before because I thought I didn't need it in there. LOL.

I am the DW of Carole. My switch to raise and lower tv is behind door to left of fire place. You may have to lean down to see as it is on the panel at top of back.

With our floorplan, we open the lower left cabinet door to the right of the fireplace/TV, and on the top shelf is the stock stereo installed by Keystone and you reach into the cabinent, on the left side, on that shelf almost all the way to the back and BINGO! a wall switch for the lift.

There's an extra tire hidden under the camper on some models, honest.

The second or third trip we made with our Big Sky the TV came up with about a 3" tilt on one side. I pulled it up and blocked it for that trip. Called the dealer and they ordered a new lift frame so they would have it and change it when I took the RV in for other warranty work. When I took it in and they looked at the TV lift a bolt had come loose. so they just had to replace it and adjust the lift. It has been fine for the last year.

Well an update on our repair list. Our new replacement tv lift is in and ready to be picked up, as well as the rubber gasket for the basement door. Our dealer has made arrangements to take our parts to their store that is 70 miles closer than their store where we bought it. A new chair is being ordered to replace ours with the tear in it. The tv lift breaking is all due to a manufacturer error. Where a split/ roll pin should have been a broken off drill bit was left partially in the hole. Am surprised it held as long as it did. So far, we couldn't be more pleased with the service we have gotten from Dandy Rv in Anniston, AL and their very reliable warranty manager. They have been great and we are loving our Mountaineer.

I have a 2013 3750FL and the tv is on a mount jammed so close to the wall that one of the HDMI ports is not usable. They need to put a tv mount that comes out from the wall just a little more. I am unable to connect my extra media players to even work. Bummer
