New owners and members

We just brought home our new 3380RL. We're very happy with our choice. Only problem - since we live in the Boston area, we have to wait about 5 months to use it (we're not retired yet!). Tow vehicle is a GMC 2500HD with Duramax and Allison. Felt fine towing home from the dealer. Looking forward to chatting with the other members and getting ideas and advice.

With your Redsox winning and your new Monty, how could life be better!! I'll bet Pam really likes the island kitchen or is it you who does the cooking while camping. Sorry you have to wait til spring, but it will only heighten your anticipation. Whether you are new to RVing or just new to Montanas, the MOC Forum will be a good place get and give help. Welcome to the family.

Rehorner - welcome to the group....GO Redsox. We are not retired yet...but use ours on short weekend trips. It makes the days until retirement work work through. We have about four years to go and you have less than that. Happy Towing!

The Red Sox euphoria will definitely help! My retirement comment didn't mean it's 5 months 'till my retirement; I just meant that since I am not retired, I can't just pick up and head south for the winter. Have to wait until the winter is over to start the camping trips. I have about 10 years before I enjoy retirement. THEN I'll head south for the winter!

Welcome Pam and Bob to MOC! Congratulations on the new rig. The next five months will probably not go by as quickly so you may like but rest assured they will go by.

BTW-- I particularly like your choice of Tow Vehicle. Just know you are gonna luv that 2500HD D/A hauling that new 3380RL down the hiway.

Congrats Bob and Pam -

Great combo. We were through the Boston area last year and stayed at Normandy Farms campground. What a nice campground - but expensive. They run some great internet deals, though. The Chevy will do a nice job towing your rig. I know what you mean about the five months. We just put our Monty to bed for the winter and are awaiting it coming out of hibernation in April. Best of luck.

Wow! What a welcome! Thank you all for your warm greetings and well wishes. If you are ever going to be camping in the New England/upstate New York area, let us know. Maybe we can rendezvous. In the meantime, I'll have to settle for passing the time this winter on the ski slopes (and partaking of this members forum, of course).

rehorner - we are really wanting to make that trip when the colors bloom in the fall. May have to look you guys up next year since this year is long since gone. Thanks for the invite.

Congrats Bob and Pam
My wife Florence and I have an almost identical situation. We recently decided to travel this great land of ours and jumped right in by buying a 2955RL. We then bought a 2004 Duramax Chev 2500 to pull it(Ext cab for our Yorkie, Mr Winston). The 2955RL is in Winter storage until Spring and I'm taking delivery of the Chevy today as my daily work truck. I, too, have to work for three more years so we'll be making occasional weekly jaunts until then. We live in Westfield, MA and our first trip is already scheduled in May to Normandy Farms in Foxborough. I think that is in your neighborhood.
