Clearance lights on 2003 Dually truck tailgates
As I have found recently, every day I learn something new in the new world of RVing. I purchased a new 5er tailgate for my 2003 Dodge dually and was reading the manual again to determine how to remove the old one. This was straight forward and simple. I found you must mount suitable clearance lights that are already present on the factory tailgate if the truck is a dually. It is a federal regulation that vehicles of a certain width must have the 2" high by 18" bar with 3 bulbs in it. I wonder who would give me a ticket if I did not place the lights on the tailgate. I am investigating what would be the easiest way to install the lights. Anybody else ever heard of this.
