Ozz, for the last several years we have spent much of the month of September in Estes Park. We have stayed in the Spruce Lake RV Park [because the friends we meet have always stayed there.] That is an especially great time to be in EP because the Elk are so active. We have always had beautiful weather. You can't go wrong in Estes Park!

Aw, c'mon Ozz. You'll miss all those late night calls, calls for rooftop units (on a 100 degree day) etc. Um........nah! I was chief engineer and ran a high-rise building for 31 years. Big chiller plants, elevators, plumbing, electrical, etc. I just loved the 2 AM calls....."there's water all over the floor," or "the chiller just went down" or, "it's too hot/cold", or "that big pump is making a funny noise", etc, etc. I still do some of that, but as a volunteer for the non-profits I work with. And, the nice part is......if I don't feel like working that day, I know the boss isn't going to be calling me.....well, at least not the one that "paid" me!!!! Good luck, and enjoy life on the road! We just had our new 3400 out for it's inaugural run, and I'm already pondering a few changes!!!

OZ, I don't see your name on the fall rally list, George was planning a whole day just for OZ MODS. We will be back in the KC area after ya leave darn it. If Betsy's back situation gets better. We will stay here in Boston for another 4 or 5 weeks and see how the therapy works out. Then we head west and then back east and way north...P.S. if ya get to northern Mich. we are 10 miles south of Watersmeet and have two 50 amp FHUs at the house...

Padre, is it too early for Estes?
Terry, my last retirement was from all my commercial stuff, I did no residential, this business I started up was pretty much all residential, I did not want the rooftops and heavy commercial you are talking about.
Paul, nope, Mountains. I have had a belly-full of the mid-west and it's humidity. I would love to see everyone, some other rally.
Ole Dude; try and stay out of trouble...
Jim and Joan, see you on the road somewhere...cool.
Dave and Betsy, take care. I hope Betsy continues to improve, no fun feeling bad. Maybe we will see you guys out West.
See ya on fb.

Ozz,
From the reports of folks up where you are headed sounds like you'd better bring along the snow plow! Hey! Maybe you could start a snow plowing business! Enjoy! Later, Dennis

We will monitor that. Good thing the truck has a steering wheel and the ability to deviate from a planned course..

Ozz,
Glad to hear that you are now able to move on to more enjoyable pursuits!
DW and I just got back from camping this long weekend at South Meadows ( a national forest campsite) in Woodland Park, Colorado. Pleasant weather and all sunshine with no snow falling or on the ground. If you stay below 8000 feet you shouldn't encounter any snow. Estes Park and similar altitudes can still be "iffy" at this time of year. Some of our ski centers were still open as of this weekend!

Woodland! Used to live there! We went up on the Rampart and cut wood on the week-ends for heat. Love Colorado. Cripple Creek used to be a sleepy old mining town, it is ruined now with the casinos.
bigMurf just gave me a link to Estes, live feed...no show.
We will assess when we get to Denver

ahhh, make the show snow..

No, Ozz, I don't think it is too early for EP. In fact, I just talked yesterday with a friend from here who was there and he said the weather was perfect.

I just mentioned our experience of staying in September because of the very active elk population--in the park and in town.

I would say NO TIME in Summer is not a GOOD TIME in Estes Park.
