New Member! Troutdale, OR

Excited to be here! We are Teresa and Jerry Schleining from Troutdale, Oregon.
We just purchased our second RV, upgraded from a Keystone Passport to our 2022 Montana 3761 FL.. What a massive leap.
We have been RVing for just over 6 years and love everything about it!
Looking forward to sharing, learning, and becoming an active part of this community!

Jerry & Teresa

Welcome and congrats on the purchase of your new Montana. I was a travel trailer person all my life and 4 years ago we purchased our Montana. This is the first fifth wheel I ever towed. It was a year long learning curve. The second year was more confident, but still found myself having difficulty backing in some situations. Third year, it started becoming more familiar and not threatening any more. Fourth year, no problems. I can park this thing anywhere now! I'm now 67 years old, so old dogs can learn new tricks. It just takes a lot longer!

So, coming from travel trailer experience and jumping over to a fifth wheel might take a bit of re-programming in you head. But you will eventually arrive and the "Ah-Ha!" moment will happen.

Again, congrats! And welcome to the forums!

Congratulations on your new Montana and welcome to the forums from another Oregonian. After years of bumper pulls we bought our first fifth wheel four years ago. There was a definite learning curve but it was well worth the growing pains. Husband now says he wouldn’t go back to a bumper pull. We hope you enjoy your new fifth wheel just as much!

Welcome aboard, neighbor! You jumped right into the deep end of the pool but you won’t regret it. I moved from towing TT’s to 5ers many years ago and never looked back. IMHO it’s a much better towing experience.

Welcome Aboard Teresa and Jerry to the best Forum you could find when it comes to knowledge and experience with a Montana RV. If you have questions-- ask them. If you can furnish information or experiences that others here are asking about-- jump in here and do so. This is a great place for learning and there is a whole lot of knowledge here on this Forum to gather and absorb. Again Welcome Aboard and enjoy that 3761!

Welcome to MOC. We hope you enjoy being here.
We have a Troutdale here in far southwest Virginia. I didn’t realize there was more than one.
