Electrical Genius or Solar Expert?

So, I am Installing A Renogy Solar System in my 2014 3402rl and It is a 3000w 30amp inverter, 800w panels and 400ah lithium batteries. I am planning to use 2 Rotary switches (positions 1 off 2) for the AC side. The 50amp shore power will be able to pass thru both switches to the House Panel in Pos. #1. In Pos #2 it will send the L1 thru a 30amp breaker to the inverter input, and the N to the Inverter. L2 will bypass the inverter and go to the house panel.
This should allow me to have the full 50 shore on one pos, and the other pos will allow the inverter/charger to pass 30 amp (and charge batteries) on one leg and the other leg will have the passed thru 50 amp leg.
I'm interested in Useful Opinions or Advice. I am committed to the equipment so no major changes. Thanks

Inverter, you mean converter?
Just to be sure.
Converter take 120vac and converts it to 12vdc.
Inverter takes 12vdc and makes 120vac.
You don't want vac going into an inverter.
Yes a diagram would be useful visualizing this setup.

Schematic

yes Inverter/Charger has Ac in and out, as it has a built in transfer switch as well

Both switches on 2 would pass the 50 amp shore thru.
Position 1 would send L1 thru a 30amp breaker to inverter input, Neutral also.
L2 would bypass the inverter and pass the 50amp shore L2 to the house panel.
The Inverter/Charger will charger the batteries when switched to the inverter at Position 2.
I will have to replace the Converter section on the PD4590 house panel so that it is Lithium compatable.

Jim,

Not sure if commited to the equipment means you bought it, but might want to look at Victron Mutiplus II 2x120 inverter/charger. It would elininate the switches. It will take a 30A feed on L1 and have an option to boost by up to 25A and output to both L1 and L2 in the rig. When using a 30A adapter (which merely jumps L1/L2 on the 50A end) it will drop L2 (sees matching sine wave). The unit was designed toward RV use. Works with 50/30 adapter, 50/30/15 adapter or 120v genset, you have to set the inverter to the amount of shorepower amps availableand it does the rest. We run both AC units off 30A shorepower haven't tried both on 15A but should be doable (we have 600 plus Ahr of LiFePO4).

PS - schematic looked fine to me. If I could have made my switches eeasily accessible I would have used rotary selector switches like I've used on boats. Instead I replaced my ATS with a new one because we have onboard genset.

Just some food for thought.

Thanks Rip, I appreciate the reply and good advice. I went with the Renogy Equipment because it was a hurried decision due to The Covid crap and all the world economic tornado and chance of NOT being able to FIND solar parts (and I put it on the Home Depot card ). But anyway, I would prefer the full Victron suite. Next time. I believe this hook-up will allow me the best utilization of the system. Any further Advice will be greatly appreciated. I have always felt a different pair of eyes on it is helpful. I'll attach a photo of my progress so far. thanks jim.

Is that the Victron Energy Lynx I see? I'm jealous. I upgraded my buss bars when I did my batts (before I changed my solar controller and inverter to Victron) so I couldn't justify the $$ and the rewire to add the Lynx. May change it someday.

I see your rotary switches - look like the same ones I was thinking about before I caved and just replaced the ATS.

I actually went Renogy for my dc-dc charger because I could get 60A instead of only 30A with Victron. The Renogy has worked great. I've charged back 160Ahr in a 3hr trip.

Had I known more about RV life I would have not ordered the genset (always had genset onboard our boats) and carried my little Honda. Put the money and weight into more bateries. Not to mention more room to wire up this stuff. Hindsight...

Rip, I took the two rotary switches out of the small boxes and mounted them both in a 12x12x6 junction box which allows me room to route all of the wires. I opted for my front bay for ease of access. Yes I elected to use the Victron DC in as my Bussbar and it was the right choice. I have been scouring youtube for useful info on RV Solar, ALOT of stuff to filter thru! thanks for your comments. Jim
