Excited to have found this forum

Hello and glad to be a member, my hubby and I have a Montana 3400RL and love it. We are about 5 years from retirement and with home prices crazy we decided to jump in and get used to RV life! We moved in about 2 months ago, getting settled and deciding what stays and what goes. Having a washer & dryer is fantastic. No going to the laundromat..yahoo!! We are currently Iin Central California and boy it has been super windy, awning is in.looking forward to being able to find info about hitches and hydraulic issues and anything else we have questions about.

Welcome aboard! You've come to the right place and we're glad you found us. The 3400 was a very popular floor plan and several here own or have owned one. So you will find lots of experience and insight.

In the upper left of this screen is UserCP. Under that you can find where you can create a signature for your posts that can include your truck and trailer info, as well as whatever else you want to share. That is very helpful for others offering help to know what rig we're talking about.

Welcome and jump right in.

Hello There

Happy you found this forum, hope you find it as useful as we have! For the most part people here are friendly and very helpful with all your questions. We purchased a 2020 Montana 3121RL a bit over a year ago and love it. The dealer has also been very helpful which helps! We have had a few minor problems but they have taken care of them.
Hope you enjoy the forum and welcome aboard. Enjoy, have fun and be careful out there amongst them!!!!

Welcome to the forum. Our first Montana was a 3400RL. Great floor plan. You will find someone here has had any issues you encounter. This is the original “been there, done that” forum. Best of luck.

My husband and I are very excited to be a part of this group and have found a lot of these discussions very helpful. Hello to everyone. We have recently started living in our fifthwheel full-time and upgraded to a fifthwheel that that is 5 years old and has had some minor issues. Nothing we can't handle so far but things we never had to deal with when just camping occasionally So again I welcome the knowledge that is on this site and the positivity

Congrats on the new trailer and to your future retirement. I just retired and my wife has a few years left as a teacher. We try and use our rig once a month. For the wind issues and the awning, I recently bought an awning anchor kit to help out. Here's a link:

Welcome to the Montana form. There is lots of information on hitch’s, hydraulic’s and awnings. My wife and I use to tie down our awning. Now on the 5th wheel it’s to tall to do so. We been in storms where the wind with tie down’s take the awning and arms an bend them beyond repair. All we can suggest is when it’s windy or you leave the camper. Put your awning away (retract). Save yourself a big expense. As for the hitch we like the PullRite #2400 with the clean bed technology. For us we can remove the hitch, rails and still have a full useful bed of our truck.
