A/C Filters

Campgrounds closed or closing here in the Northwest and I'm thinking this would be the perfect time to address areas in addition to the usual checklist. Where do I find the A/C filters? If I have them, are they changed often? If replacing, would the big box stores have what I would need?

The A\C filters are in the ceiling behind the oval screens if you have a A\C in the bedroom they are on the sides of the unit. you can jest wash out and put them back in.

A/C filters

There are two filters in the living room and two in the bedroom.
They are more "rock catchers" than filters, but they catch enough that I have to rinse lint and dog hair off periodically. You will need a small step to reach the covers in the living room. The pics below are screen shots from the Montana website (not my unit)

Thanks

I'll take a look at those and ensure they're free of lint/dust, etc.

You'll probably get a surprise. If you camp anywhere with wind and dust they get full fast. I get window AC filters from Walmart or Amazon and cut them to fit (they're better quality and catch more) and then wash them out every two weeks. And we have three AC's so they each don't run as often.

Good Tip

A big surprise for sure, since I didn't know it had a filter or that it could be cleaned. Granted, the DW has complained about how dusty it gets inside, so now we'll know where to check.I'll try to get to Walmart when they aren't so busy and get some material. I'm hoping it'll be easy to find. At times, it can be difficult to find someone for assistance. Thank you.

A/C Filters

We have a 2015 Montana 3160 Legacy and found there are many different sizes to different Montanas. Our 5th has a bedroom Dometic 13,500 btu which is independent with own filter, the rest of the Dometic 15,000 unit has ducts in bathroom and living areas. The intakes are two rectangular in the living room are 13 3/8” x 7 1/2’’. They were filthy when I checked and need the replacements. Please give me an idea so I can fix it. We washed and dried the bedroom filter and replaced it.
Thanks
