Do these 12V fans have some sort of timer or thermostat built into them? Anybody else experience this issue with their 12V ceiling fan?

Anybody know the manufacturer of these 12V ceiling fans?
My 2020 with the 12v ceiling fan does the same thing. It’s at the dealer now and that’s on the list to be looked at.

We've been camping since Monday and had the ceiling fan on for quite a few hours every day without any issues. It seemed to have fixed itself. Report back here as to what your repair people say or do.

My 12v fan shut off one time, and as I tried to turn it back on, the wall switch was really warm, close to hot. It was put on our last warranty punch list and the dealer installed new switch. I never really asked them about it or if a connection was loose, but it fixed mine.

Funny that I saw your post about this issue. My dealer said that they haven’t had that issue and I reminded them that the fan did not work during psi and they had to replace the fan before we picked it up. I’ll let you know if they can duplicate to stopping while at the shop.

My switch gets warm but not hot.

12 volt ceiling fan

I have a 2020 3740FK and the ceiling fan is manufactured by Intercoastal, according to the minimal instruction manual provided by Keystone.

Update again

Well, thought the ceiling fan had fixed itself but, nope. Yesterday afternoon, the fan stopped about 3 hours into the afternoon/evening.

My 2020 3121RL fan does the same thing down to the control switch getting warm. Length of time for running varied from couple of hours to almost 24 hours. Was in FL where temps in upper 90's. Will investigate further while on VA Eastern Shore next week.

We have a 2021 3781RL Montana (of course) and our ceiling fan is 12 volt and hasn’t worked right at all. The dealer isn’t much help. Anyone have the number for the factory?

Which factory? Keystone will not help you unless you work with the dealer. If you know the maker of the fan you might call them. IMO a good relationship with a good dealer can make owning an RV a night and day difference.

Nice to see Keystone listening to users. The 120VAC ceiling fan in my unit is worthless without shore power; just like the power recliners.

I had a 12V fan in my last RV a 2007 model; it is nothing new. The control panel looks the same. I seem to remember issues with the switch getting hot, but I never had any trouble with the fan.

Thanks, I was told by my dealer they were 3 weeks behind on repairs. We have a good relationship but this C19 stuff has caused them a lot of personal issues. I guess I will get in line.

12 volt fan

Yep, fan would start in reverse (air moving upward) when unit was new, I would hit reverse every time I turned it on. Soon controller would be warm and fan shut off. Our unit is at dealer now for a few warranty concerns and this is on of them. Do not like the 12 volt fan, is pretty much useless anyway, can hardly feel any air movement when it is working its best.

My 2020 Montana 3811ms has a 12 vdc ceiling fan.
I ordered a new fan from rec pro. It is a 4 wire and control. Mine was a 3 wire and control.

Pulling an extra wire is questionable.
Can't find the correct 3 wire fan and control.
Now I have a hole in the ceiling with wires hanging down cause keystone doesn't even know the products they use for direct replacement in a particular model. I guess quality control is slumping with all the manufactures sense that company bought out most all of them. Happy Camping
