After a couple of years of dealing with our sliding shower doors (the glass ones), my wife demanded I remove them. I did. I left the track on the bottom and the track on the sides so we wouldn't have holes exposed. And then we hung a spring loaded shower bar and a shower curtain. We've been much happier ever since not having to fight those shower doors falling off the catch that keeps them aligned, and being out of align all the time.
