In order to use the remote, we have to hold our hands with the remote as far above our heads as possible so the sensor on the television can see it.
You could put spacers (or a block or two) under the lifting mechanism attached to the floor (if you don't mind tearing out your cabinet just so you can get to it, but then the top would not come down flat. The television itself would be too high. Now you could rebuild the top too, but if you do, the sensor on the new television could potentially be blocked again.
In short, there is no good solution unless you rip out the cabinet and rebuild it to install a larger television that will actually work.

on mine there was a spacer at the top of the screw where the washer is that acts as the stop. I just removed that spacer and it allowed the tv to rise higher and the remote to work without reaching to the sky.

We just picked up a 2021 3791RD and discovered this issue. The mounting bracket has a series of slots that allowed me to raise the tv so the bottom clears the counter top. It also fully lowers in this position, the problem is the wood “top” will not securely set in the slots on top of the tv. I will be able to modify it though by tack welding a washer on the smooth rod pin that is on the bottom of the wood top.
