It is with much sadness....

but with my joy, that I must tell everyone, we are trading in that stinking 374fl.
We cannot take the "new" smell anymore.
After last weekends trip, even our clothes smelled....
Unfortunately, we are trading it in on a Grand Desighn 376th.
If I may, I hope to remain a member here, for I've learned alot.
We are getting a great deal on it, and its very much like our 374fl, but now no trailer for the toy.
Please forgive me for abandoning the Montana name, but this 5th wheel just plain sucked....
Was a good camper, but the smell....

Many upgrades with the GD tho.

Hate to see you sell it or trade it in, but you had to take a major loss on that. My good friend has a Grand Design Reflection and it's a solid rig. Hope the new one comes through for you.

I'm just curious, what smalls are you referring to. I have a 2019 375FL. The only difference between the 374 and 375 that year was the gas-electric refrigerator and 1 battery, or the residential refrigerator with the 1000 watt inverter and 2 batteries.

The 2019 model had a few changes from the 2016 model, mainly, the steps and probably some more bells and whistles. But basically, they are the identical trailer. So, I'm curious what you have been smelling all this time.

I do know that the rear door on the opposite side of the camper is not for everyone. But for us, that was the single factor that hooked us on ours. We use the back door on the opposite side more than the front.

I'm sorry this model did not work out for you, or at least the "smells" were too much. Mine never had any unpleasant smells at all. When it's closed up for a few days and I step into it, it still has a very slight "new" small. But it's so faint, even after being closed up, that no one really notice it. We've had this camper, soon to be, 2 years now.

I left it air out with all doors and windows open for just about 2 months !
You can be standing 10 feet away, and smell the chemical smell, or new camper smell.
I'm not sure what is wrong with it, but after 2 years, we've had enough.
We didn't lose out too bad on the trade in, nor the price of the 2017 376th.
We liked the rear door, and the layout. Thats why we bought a similar floor plan.
We have way more storage, a garage for a small sxs, or Harley, outside cooking, and tv, and an onan.
Cost us more, but after having 4 before, we've kinda figured out what we like, and need.
