Cold weather jack problem identified

Most of you know that we're on our second 3790 and that our first one was traded back last April. I had done a LOT of mods to our other one including the auto resetting breaker upgrade as we cold weather camp. However our last trip out I had a problem with the breaker tripping when trying to load up and leave the campground. I didn't have a chance to look at in until about a couple of weeks ago. This one was wired at the factory. So, take a look at all of your wiring if you have a auto resetting breaker that trips during cold weather operation. Notice the dark green arrow is the main battery cable coming from the battery which "should" go to the 80 or 100A breaker, but no, it was ran through a 50A first! The lime green wire is the one going to the hydraulic pump. Follow the wires.....

My 2019 3791RD was wired the same way. I moved the wire to the other side of the first 50 amp self reset, then put an 80 amp manual reset breaker between it and the hydraulic pump. Essentially, the positive feed goes straight to the 80 amp that way now. Had to order a 12" jumper cable to accomplish this.

No one ever said that the KeyStone Techs were Electricians.

Wouldn't this provide power to the rest of the coach with NO breaker in the line?

Where does the lower wire from the right side of the 80 amp CB do (go to)? It would seem the only thing that 80 amp breaker should power is the pump. It can't be an input 12V feed as that is what the left side one is. Asking for a friend.

One of the new improvements for Montanas is the 80 amp CB. Too bad they didn't teach the installers how it should be wired.

That remains a mystery. It goes into the belly through a hole in the frame behind the brake actuator....

Not in my case. There was 2 additional wires on the 50 amp breaker besides the hydraulic pump. Moving the hydraulic pump to the supply side of the 50 amp left the other 2 on the protected side and the hydraulic pump is supplied straight from the battery to the 80 amp breaker now.

Oops, brain fade on my part. That wire goes to the 12V fuse panel and converter. Duh!

Actually, it goes to the cutoff switch and then to the converter.
