Montana 318rl

Hi people new to this forum. We purchased a 2014montana 318rle. We previously had a Cougar 5th wheel. I have a lot of unanswered questions and the dealer was very disappointing. Even though I have previously winterized many times in the past I was left scratching my head. Drained hw tank went to bypass winterized turned on 12 v pump and nothing. They did it for me but were too busy to show me. The next bothersome thing is hooked up satellite dish in the compartment and no sat. I asked where switch for amp was and they told me in bedroom where tv cable hooks up.
. No switch. I hooked up sat to tv through open window into living room no problems. Trailer only used for 1 week before we put it to bed. Frustrated

The antenna booster, that must be on for on air TV and off for anything else is fequently located behind the bedroom TV and is a tiny unlabled button sometimes as a part of a 12v outlet or cable connection outlet and it is tiny, about the size of the end of a pencil. When it's on there is a tiny light that comes on near it.

We run our Dish cable through the window and connect directly to the Wally receiver. I have not tried the satellite connection. Read too many failure stories. I bought a Furrion surface mount connection which I will mount at the bottom of the ladder. Just haven't gotten aroundtuit

Very few have had success with the factory satellite connections, and most who do have had to replace splitters and sometimes cable as well. I was able to add my own outside connections and hide the cable behind existing trim. I ran separate connections for both living and bed rooms. If you can do the same you’ll save a lot of headaches.
Do a search here on winterizing, lots of ideas on how to get the antifreeze to flow.

I replace all my splitters with higher Mz in my 5th when we bought it. No issue in 3 years.
