You must have a bonded neutral plug in order for it to work. You can search for the term above. Also, take a look at this thread...

It is located in the front storage being the curved panel. We have the 2021, 3761FL legacy package that came with the PD52DCSD transfer switch that doesn't have a display, it only has a light in the command center that tells you if you are on shore power or generator. This switch also acts as a surge protector and will detect high/low voltage. As others mentioned, it failed. The shore power contact would not engage leaving us with only 1 leg of power feeding the coach. It was covered under warranty, but it took a few weeks to get a replacement, which by the way doesn't even have the lights. I use the portable 50 amp that connects to the shore power, it has the display built in. If you don't intend to use a generator you can by pass the switch on the coach and use the portable one. That's what we did while waiting on parts. If this one goes bad we will bypass it too and only use the portable.

To answer D.J simpson, Our 2021 3761FL legacy has the transfer switch that is also an EMS. It will not engage if it does not see proper incoming voltage. That being said, our factory transfer switch failed, it saw correct incoming voltage, but the contact would not fully engage. It was replaced under warranty.

Small generators have a "floating" ground and EMS systems expect a real ground. You get around this by bypassing the EMA when running your Honda and buy/make a Bonded Neutral Plug to make it appear you have a real ground to your Honda.

Here is a link to a previous discussion on Bonded Neutral Plugs and why.

Thanks, I made a neutral ground bonding plug and can now use my generator without the surge protector kicking out. I can now charge my batteries when the solar panels aren’t enough to keep up with power demands.
